In less than 6 months, I have gone from 1 to over 300 Facebook fans. You continue to amaze me with your input and your support. 6 months ago, I was not certified, had attended a grand total of 3 births, and had no idea where this journey was taking me. Now, I have a business I am proud of with a name that speaks to what I think motherhood is all about. I still have no idea where this journey is leading me. From the get go, I have followed the "yes's", serving, moving, and doing where I could. I am honored, humbled, moved, and in awe of the experiences I have been a part of over the last several months.
This new venture of mine has brought me in contact with some of the most talented, generous, and industrious of women. From the clients I serve, the doulas who have mentored me, and the fellow business women I have partnered with, each and every woman, who is also a mother, serves as an inspiration. It is quite enough to give completely selflessly to your children, but to give to others of yourself without hesitation is a gesture that far too often goes unnoticed.
You all know I love to partner with fellow Work-From-Home Mompreneurs. Last month, I partnered with an amazing birth photographer, Cassie Ringl of New Light Birth Photography. We will continue to offer both our services at a discount when hired together. Her brilliant photographs are featured throughout the Courageous Motherhood website. I had no idea that Cassie even existed until about 2 months ago. We got together and the friendship was instantaneous! We learned that not only are we practically neighbors but also delivered at the same hospital, with the same midwife, on the same day, only hours apart. What are the odds?! Our business "meetings" are mostly glorified playdates.
This month, I am partnering with Hippie Girl Creations to offer you a spectacular giveaway. I met Katy Hubbard of Hippie Girl Creations a few months ago at a baby circle led by Jen Chendea, yet another fabulous Mompreneur. I learned that she made ring slings and quickly commissioned her to make one for my birthday present to me. Ha! The sling she created exceeded my expectations and so did she. Her welcoming, outgoing personality was contagious. After falling in love with the custom sling she created just for me, I had to have another to gift to one of you.
In order to enter, all you have to do is be a fan of the page. Feel free to share the giveaway with other moms who you feel would benefit from having this ultra soft, beautiful ring sling. Please know that I appreciate you. I appreciate the comments, the likes, and the engagement. Knowing who's out there listening and watching makes all the difference and keeps me going.
